The Cremisan Monastery is located within the Cremisan Valley which is considered to be the only remaining green area in Bethlehem.
The valley, overlooking Bethlehem and BeitJala, has wide ranges of agricultural lands and magnificent terraced grounds that provide a perfect place for picnics under the shades of olive trees.
It was established in 1885 on the remnants of a 7th century Byzantine Monastery. The monastery contains the only winery in the whole of Palestine, the Cremisan Cellars. The wines being produced here uses only local Palestinian grapes.
